Paying your invoice
How to pay at the practice or online, how health fund and Medicare claims work, and how to spot a scam.
How our fees work
Every mouth is different, so we confirm your fee after an examination and give you a written estimate before planned treatment.
What affects the cost
- What your examination, X-rays or scans show
- How many teeth are treated
- Materials, such as composite or ceramic
- Any extra procedures, for example a bone graft
- Number of visits and any lab work
Before treatment
- A written estimate with item numbers for planned treatment
- Use the item numbers to ask your fund what you’ll get back: health fund checker
- If your treatment needs change, we talk to you first
- Payment plans through Tyro, tailored to each patient (see below)
On the day
- EFTPOS and card, including tap and pay (Tyro)
- Health fund claims on the spot, so you pay only the gap
- Eligible Medicare (CDBS) and DVA claims through Tyro Health
- Payment and claim links by SMS or email (see below)
Payment plans
Payment plans are available through Tyro and are tailored to each patient, so you can spread the cost of treatment over time. Whether a plan suits you depends on the treatment and your circumstances, and eligibility criteria, terms and fees may apply. Before you agree, we explain how your plan works, including any fees, and you never have to use one. Ask our team about eligibility, terms and any fees before you start.
Typical fees
| Treatment | Item numbers | Typical fee |
|---|
Typical fees are a guide only. Your fee depends on your examination and is confirmed in a written estimate. Health fund benefits depend on your fund and level of cover.
Ask us for the fee for a check-up and clean or any treatment. Call (08) 9330 7115, and we can give you the item numbers to check with your fund.
Pay and claim on the spot
Our Tyro terminals at reception (a countertop terminal and a Tyro Pro Key, which has a physical keypad as well as a touchscreen) take EFTPOS and card payments, including tap and pay. If you have private health insurance with extras cover, we can claim on the spot from your fund, so you only pay any gap. Bring your health fund card.
Payment and claim links
We can send you an invoice or quote through Tyro Health. Payment links and health fund claim links arrive by SMS or email. Claim links expire after 24 hours, so use them promptly or ask us to resend.
Medicare (CDBS) and DVA
Where you’re eligible, we lodge Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) and DVA dental claims electronically through Tyro Health. Bring your Medicare card, and your DVA card if you have one. Health funds and payment
HBF members: what Member Plus means for you
We’re an HBF Member Plus Dental Provider, and we’ve been approved for HBF’s new Member Plus Dental arrangement from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2031.
- If your HBF extras cover includes the treatment and you’ve served any waiting periods, we won’t charge you more than HBF’s maximum Member Plus fee for eligible dental items.
- Your HBF benefit still depends on your level of cover, annual and service limits and HBF’s fund rules, so there may still be an amount for you to pay.
- For planned treatment, we give you a clear written estimate of fees before we start. If treatment is unplanned, we’ll do our best to tell you the cost first.
- We can claim your HBF benefit on the spot with Tyro, so on the day you only pay any difference.
HBF sets its maximum fees and can change them. Ask us for the cost of your treatment. Not with HBF? All health funds are welcome, and we can claim on the spot with Tyro.
How a Tyro Health link works
- We let you know at your appointment, or by phone, that we’re sending a payment or claim link.
- You receive an SMS or email from Tyro Health on behalf of Myaree Dental, showing your invoice details.
- You open the link, check the amount and pay securely, or approve your health fund claim and pay any gap.
- You receive a receipt. Claim links expire after 24 hours.
Not expecting a link, or the amount doesn’t match your invoice? Don’t open it. Call us on (08) 9330 7115 using the number on this website or your appointment card.
Protect yourself from scams
- We never ask for your card details by phone, email, or by replying to an SMS.
- We won’t ask for your health fund password, one-time code or banking login.
- Our bank details don’t change by email. If you receive a message saying they have, call us before paying.
- Check the sender, the amount and the invoice number match what we discussed.
- If you’re unsure, don’t click. Call (08) 9330 7115.
